The ribbed body of this vessel follows the logic of a gourd — wide at the base, narrowing toward an open mouth that catches shadow differently at every hour. The surface is dark, fired to a deep charcoal with traces of copper and ash where the clay met heat unevenly. It has the density of something pulled from the ground rather than made at a table.
Low and weighted, it anchors a surface without demanding attention. Set it on a shelf, a sill, a floor. It will find its place. The fine cracking you see across the surface is inherent to the Sejnane process, a natural result of the clay drying and firing without industrial control. It is not a flaw. It is the record of how the piece was made.
